Katie: As a senior in high school, I found myself dreading the thought of college. With a pageant background and a love for the beauty industry, I thought I would try hair school — not knowing what might lie ahead for me.

After graduating from hair school, I stumbled upon a small salon tucked away in Signature Place. Peeking inside the windows one afternoon, dreaming of what might come from this opportunity, I had the privilege of being hired by the owner, Necole Bell.

Starting out in December of 2013, my passion and craft began to grow — and so did our salon. With Necole leading the pack, Laura Beth, my coworker, and I dreamed big and brought so many new beauty trends to our community through BB. We considered ourselves true trendsetters.

I’m so thankful for the women in my past who helped me get to where I am today. In the fall of 2023, Necole offered me the opportunity to purchase Beauty Boutique, as she had other dreams she felt called to pursue. Being pregnant with my second child, I brought the idea to my husband — and without hesitation, he said, “We’ll do whatever it takes to make sure you get the business you’ve worked so hard in over the past 11 years.”

With that being said, two and a half years later, I’m dreaming bigger than ever and praying that my mission and calling in the beauty industry continue to succeed — setting standards far beyond the average.

Being a BB Girl is special. It’s a lifestyle, a legacy, and a dream I pray many other young girls will be inspired to chase in the future.
